Parikh Giving Alliance Board Spotlight: Dr. Beena M. Parikh
The Heartbeat of a Movement. The Vision Behind the Mission.
At the core of the Parikh Giving Alliance is a mission to accelerate change through collaboration—and at the heart of that mission is Dr. Beena Parikh. A longtime community champion with boundless energy and deep roots in Central Florida, Beena is more than a co-founder—she’s the spark behind so much of the momentum, connection, and purpose that drive this work forward.
About Dr. Beena M. Parikh
A Clinical Psychologist by training and a changemaker by nature, Beena’s journey has always centered on helping others thrive. After earning her Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University, she began her career supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating life’s emotional challenges—work that still informs her deep empathy and insight.
In 2011, she transitioned into healthcare leadership, co-founding Premier Cardiology & Vascular Associates with her husband, Dr. Amish Parikh. Under their stewardship, the practice has become a gold standard for compassionate, patient-first care in Central Florida. But Beena’s impact doesn’t stop there—it radiates across healthcare, education, the arts, and philanthropy, reaching every corner of the community she calls home.

Why She Co-Founded the Parikh Giving Alliance with her husband Dr. Amish Parikh
“I’ve always believed that when nonprofits are supported with the right tools, the right people, and the right mindset—they can change everything,” says Beena. “We started the Parikh Giving Alliance to help fuel that transformation.”
Quietly powerful and consistently generous, Beena and her husband have been longtime supporters of organizations like Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, A Gift for Teaching, and Orlando Youth Alliance, where they’ve even opened their home to host signature fundraising dinners. Through their Giving Alliance, they’ve created a platform that brings nonprofits together to solve big problems—while inspiring the next generation of leaders to dream even bigger.
Leading with Heart
Beena’s leadership style is best described as equal parts vision and velocity. She brings clarity to strategy sessions, warmth to every event, and a fierce commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and follow-through.
“She is the energy in the room—and often, the one behind the scenes making sure everything happens just right,” shares a fellow board member.
Her board service includes leadership roles with the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Harmony Healthcare Orlando, and the Burnett Honors College at UCF. She’s also served on the Orange County Citizens Review Panel, where she evaluated and awarded funding to high-impact nonprofits serving local families.
A Culture of Collaboration
Collaboration is at the core of everything we do at the Parikh Giving Alliance. We believe that lasting change happens when nonprofits are empowered to work together—not in silos, but across sectors, missions, and communities. From our Collaboration Circles to our Collaboration Grants, Change Makers Breakfast series, and Mission Field Trips, every Parikh Giving Alliance initiative is designed to foster authentic connection, spark shared innovation, and build a stronger ecosystem of support.
As Beena often says, “When we create the space for nonprofits to collaborate—across healthcare, education, and the arts—that’s when the magic happens.”
Looking Ahead
As the Parikh Giving Alliance grows, Beena is focused on building long-term sustainability, deepening local impact, and ensuring that the organization’s work stays grounded in community voice and real-world solutions.

“In five years, I want to see us funding even bolder ideas,” she shares. “I want us to be the go-to partner for organizations doing the hard work—and dreaming big while they do it.”
Known for her infectious smile and unstoppable energy, Beena also brings a creative soul to everything she touches. Whether it’s curating a benefit dinner, mentoring young professionals, or strategizing a new initiative, she finds joy in the details and meaning in the mission. One of her favorite quotes is from Mahatma Gandhi, “The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.”
Dr. Beena Parikh is the kind of leader who inspires action by example. Her quiet generosity, relentless optimism, and unwavering belief in the power of community make her not just a co-founder of the Parikh Giving Alliance—but its heartbeat. Through her leadership, she’s helping to build something that will last far beyond a single grant cycle: a culture of innovation, compassion, and collaboration that lifts up everyone it touches.
